New Visison

We have decided that our idea about the brothers lost its drive through a multitude of reasons including the ultimate factor that not through fault of trying we have been unable to find a parkour actor who was able to participate. Another issue we came across is that the residential area does not fit the fast paced action sequence that we were looking for, due to the fact the area is surrounded by houses, grass, and trees which is not ideal. 

Instead we have found a mostly empty car parking structure in Tunbridge Wells town center which has a more urban feel to it and an industrial look. From this, we have modified our idea so that there is only one main character. Its begins in their bedroom when suddenly a text message appears causing them to rush out the door and into a fast paced running action sequence through streets and into the car park, before reaching a lift. They then enter a lift and finally takes off their hood to show long hair fall down which subverts the viewers original assumption that the character was in fact a boy. We then wish to incorporate a sense of comedy at the end when an old lady interrupts the intense scene and joining the character in the lift.

Colour Palette

We first re imagined our colour palette, as you can see the colours are a lot darker and more niche than last time. This is because the overall feel of our new idea is set in a more urban area compared to our original residential feel. Also there are a lot of tones of blue tones as the bed room scene will involve these stereotypical "boy" colours in order for the viewers to make assumptions.

We recreated our sound palette to match our current idea. However, some of the sounds are the same as they worked well with both ideas.

Walking Public	Medium Impact - The public may be in the way when shooting and an actor may accidently run into a person from the public.	Try to film on a day when it is less busy and try to use spaces which are clear.	If a certain scene cannot be filmed at that point film something else and come back.
Cameraman could fall off skateboard	Low Impact - The cameraman could fall off the skateboard when filming and could get an injury.	Be mindful and aware of what the cameraman must do and when filming make sure people are nearby to help.	If an injury occurs, contact parents and a first aider.
Lift might close on actress	Low Impact – Unlikely to happen and the doors are automated to open if something is in the way.	Make sure to be careful and sensible.	If an injury occurs, contact parents and a first aider.
Lift might break	Low Impact – The likelihood of it happening is not likely.	Make sure to check the lift is safe before using and make sure to be safe with people nearby.	Call for help if needed and if an injury occurs, contact parents and a first aider.
Cameraman may trip over props in room	High Impact – Injury could occur to the cameraman and the equipment.	Make sure to be careful and safe and to have people near the cameraman in case of injury.	If an injury occurs, contact parents and a first aider. And if equipment is damaged buy new equipment.
Small Space in bedroom	Low Impact – Unlikely for anything bad to happen but people inside could become claustrophobic and panic	Make sure to have a clear exit route of the room.	Leave the room if any panic occurs and contact parents.

Location Scout: Tunbridge Wells

Meadowfield car park

A second location we have decided to look at is a reasonably quiet car park in the centre of Tunbridge Wells. The reason we have decided to location scout this particular car park structure is that we know that it is not be very busy whilst also being in an urban looking location.

Outside

The outside of the parking complex is very busy as it is surrounded by roads and shops.

Side Ally

Right next to the car park is a quiet side ally. There is little to no pedestrian flow through and along the road is a collection of bins and a couple of cars.

Entrance/ Exit

Stairs

 There are two sets of stairs, one at each end of the structure. One set is in the open air and comes out onto the street whereas the other one is more enclosed and comes out by the main pedestrian exist by the lift.

Top floor

The top floor of the car park is completely deserted.

Lift

There is a lift on the end with the pedestrian entrance, it is slightly off to the side away from the actual doors.

Second location scout: Sevenoaks

We decided to use Dunton green as our location as it already has the obstacles we desire and we have good pre-existing knowledge of the area. We took a second trip to the location and walked through our opening scene. We have had to amend some of the order of our opening scene such as using a different fence than we had originally planned as it works better with the continuity of the shots. Also we decided to move the cafe scene to later on as it would make more sense being near a main road than in the center of a residential area.

When walking around we took some footage of ideas that we could use for how the trolley could fit into the scene.

Location Scout: Sevenaoks

Tesco
This could be the location from which the trolley originates. It is in close proximity to the other locations meaning it would fit with continuity. There is a large cafe inside which we originally considered for the cafe scene however, Bojangles is in a better position sequence wise and would not be as crowded.

Cafe: Bojangles
It has a large window at the front which would be ideal for the trolley sequence. There is a naturally calm atmosphere inside which is what we wish to accomplish to contrast with the kerfuffle going on outside. The owner has kindly told us that we are welcome to use the cafe to film.

Residential Area
This area is a gold mine of different obstacles that we could use in out opening scene and is away from the main road reducing background noise in our shots. There are a variety of different fences to choose from and one with a perfect gap that would be grate for the fence jumping scene. Next there are two bollards next to the lake which would be good for leap frogging. Finally we found a bush with a gap in the middle that if shot from the correct angle would look solid meanwhile the boys could jump through it.

Railings
Finally we were unsuccessful in finding an appropriately located pole for the boys to slide down as the only railings we found were not at a large enough angle and were located directly outside a bath store and a wine store. We will widen our search however, it would be best for the obstacles to be in closer proximity as possible so it appears to be the same area and is easier to get to on the day of shooting.
